SOCK DRAWER
SOCK DRAWER
fall 2019
What could possibly be more novelty than novelty socks? Maybe the box in which they arrive. The inspiration for this concept was Hello Socks, a brand of Swedish novelty socks. Their boxes are fun but didn’t quite match up to the absurdity of the actual item. The box proposal has legs that can be popped out and a handle, so the box itself can actually be transformed into a little dresser for just (3 pairs of) novelty socks.

INTERIOR DESIGN
ongoing
PROJECT 1:
This first mood board was a proposal for a living room when I was working at MOD. The client wanted to use bold colors and contrast, as well as natural elements and exciting textures. The preexisting herringbone hardwood allowed for the richness of gold detail and dark colors, such as the teal in the bottom corner.
PROJECT 2:
This project is for a bathroom in a mountain house. The vibe is clean and modern while also being rustic and comfortable. We utilized a silver travertine ledge stone along with white subway tile to associate the mountain stone with the clean comfort of the room. Instead of running cabinet towers up the sides with a bridge, we decided to imply the vertical with a modern application of wainscoting to frame the mirrors. We further offset this change by adding unique metal wall sconces. This project is currently under construction with photographs to follow.
PROJECT 3:
Oranges, cool purples, and white contrasted with black detail was the basis of this third proposal for a friend's bedroom. The curtains, skull decor, and fuzzy pillow were all already owned, hence the color scheme. This room was recently completed, but given the COVID-19 crisis, photos to follow.
