What could possibly be more novelty than novelty socks? Maybe the box in which they arrive. The inspiration for this concept was Hello Socks, a brand of Swedish novelty socks. Their boxes are fun but didn’t quite match up to the absurdity of the actual item. The box proposal has legs that can be popped out and a handle, so the box itself can actually be transformed into a little dresser for just (3 pairs of) novelty socks.

Finding typefaces to match specific character traits is a less than objective process, but even more so when considering that each character trait is part of one person. My goal with this animation was to take my four typefaces, all of which feel so different and appear disconnected, and set them in such a way that they flowed together and created a larger whole.
